Halloween Saturday, 18 Hours: Which Macau Sauna Fits Your Night

At noon on Halloween Saturday, the Macau peninsula looks like any other weekend. Shutters are half up under the arcades, a few people cross the zebra lines on their way to lunch, and nothing on the street says the day is any different. If your own Halloween plans bring you to the city, the day is longer than it looks. From this noon until Sunday daybreak, the therapist shifts at six Macau sauna venues hand over one to the next, and together they cover eighteen hours.

The date is Saturday, October 31, 2026. When the booking goes through our site, a free private car picks you up from any address in Macau and waits at the door, with the ride back arranged in advance. If you want all six side by side first, our ranking page lays them out.

Noon

At twelve o’clock, as the streets fill up for lunch, Excellent Sauna on the tenth floor of the Grand Emperor Hotel already has therapists on shift, earlier than any of the other five. The rest follow through the afternoon: Majesty and Empire from 2pm, Shang Pin, Number Nine and East Castle from 3pm, all five running until 6am Sunday, while Excellent closes at 4am with no overnight stay. If you want your hour at the very start of the day and the whole evening kept free for your own Halloween plans, this is the one.

2pm

At two, with the light still on the water outside Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, the therapists come on at Majesty Spa on the first floor of the Harbourview Hotel. Its hall is the most lavishly finished sauna interior in Macau, and inside it the therapists stand in a line. You can walk up close, interact with them at close range, and see clearly before you decide, so if you would rather choose with your own eyes, give the night to Majesty.

3pm

At three, the shift begins at Shang Pin Spa inside Lisboeta Macau. Its menu is built mainly around aromatherapy spa, in three tiers called entry, popular and top. If the hour you want that night is aromatherapy, go to Shang Pin and simply name the tier when you arrive.

10pm

By ten, the street lights are all on in the centre of the peninsula, where Number Nine Spa sits inside the Royal Dragon Hotel. Of the six, only Number Nine lists two signature treatments beyond its standard series: a Bali-style massage, and a signature massage the menu calls zhua long jin (抓龍筋). If your evening ends in the city centre and you want to order something the other five menus do not carry, Number Nine is the one.

Midnight

At midnight most shopfronts on the peninsula are closed. Inside the Casa Real Hotel, East Castle Spa pioneered themed scenario rooms in Macau and has more than twenty of them, so behind one door is a classroom, behind another the inside of a coach, and further along a car wash.

East Castle is also the only one of the six with a dedicated free sleeping area beyond the lounge, and for a room to yourself it also offers paid private rest rooms. If you want a change of scene and a night spent in the building, the match is East Castle.

2am

At two in the morning only a few cars pass on the peninsula. Empire Sauna is known for its waterbed room, where the wash on the waterbed is done by the therapist with soap, and of the six it is the only one that makes the waterbed room its signature. If this is your first time at a sauna and your Halloween plans finished this late, go to Empire. Plenty of guests come here for the first time, and the therapist leads you through each step, so nothing needs working out beforehand.

The Hour in the Room

At all six venues the hour is a massage, on a dry bed at five of them, while Empire’s waterbed room runs in order: waterbed wash, dry-bed massage, hot towels, and finally the therapist helps with a shower. The pressure can be made firmer or lighter at any point. On a dry bed the hour ends with a hot-towel clean, with no getting up and nothing to tidy.

After the hour, a different masseuse comes to you on a reclining chair in the lounge for an add-on you choose there, such as a back scrub, a foot massage or ear cleaning. Do I need to book far ahead for Halloween night?

There is no booking deadline, and telling us a day ahead is only a suggestion. If you decide on the day itself, you can still message us.

What if I have not decided what kind of night it is?

Tell us roughly when you are free and whether you would like to stay overnight afterwards. From those two answers we will match you to one of the six.

Sunday, 6am

At 6am on Sunday, the last therapists at the five late venues finish, and the eighteen hours end. Light comes up over the same peninsula corner as Saturday noon, the shutters under the arcades still down. Nobody is on the zebra lines yet.
